AVA Timber products are sold across a range of geographic regions. Given the intrinsic complexities in shipping logistics across multiple ports, we partner with world-class providers to charter vessels. We ship over 5 million cubic tonnes of logs per year from New Zealand, Australia and the USA to Asia Pacific and Indian markets.
Our New Zealand wide operation ships out of most major ports, from Marsden Point, Tauranga, Napier, Bluff and Lyttleton. Our American branch operates from the ports of Savannah, Georgia and Port Angeles, Washington, along with Gladstone and Portland ports in Australia.
Due to the vast scale of AVA Timber, we charter ships that solely transport AVA Timber logs, we charter over 120 vessels annually. The streamlined approach we take to supply chain management enables the AVA Timber team to maximise value, providing all clients with cost-effective, on-time shipping solutions.
At AVA Timber, our joint venture partners Manulife and Rayonier Matariki Forests are some of New Zealand’s largest forest owners.
